HECHT 9254 is a compact vacuum cleaner combined with a powerful blower. It is powered by 2-stroke engine with a volume of 25,4cm³, and 1 HP output power. An air volume up to 0,2m³/s reaches speeds of 41m/s at the maximum operation speed of 7500rpm. Net weight of the machine is only 5.8kg. Hecht 9254 comes equipped with a choke, to assist starting the engine by use of a standard starter rope.
In vacuum cleaner mode, the leaves are sucked by the nozzle to the steel mulching blades, placed in front of a turbine, which greatly reduces the volume of vacuumed material. These blades cut the leaves at the high speed to fine mulch, which fills the collecting bag made from durable fabric and with a maximum volume of 50l. The bag has a shoulder harness, which bears the whole weight of vacuumed leaves; leaving your hands free to direct the blower. The connection between the bag and the vacuum cleaner is via an elbow pipe, which allows the operator relatively free movement. The throttle control is achieved by using the trigger on the main handle, and has a speed locking lever.
To quickly convert to the powerful blower, just detach the nozzle, elbow pipe and the collecting bag. Be sure to cover the mulching blades with the protective grill, which prevents clothes being sucked into the machine and reducing the blower performance. With the elbow pipe removed, now attach the blowing nozzle to the engine body. Blower mode allows fast blowing of hard objects, like nuts, stones or pieces of branches that could damage the vacuum cleaner when in vacuum mode. The blower can also blow dust and dirt from pavements, bad accessible corners, cut grass from roads and in winter can easily remove fresh fallen snow. When working with the blower, wear protective equipment, such as a goggles, and remember that some objects may be blown much further than expected, therefore it is important to work with caution and ensure that nobody is in the immediate working area.
